Ann-Frederique Guay of the University of Maine women's ice hockey team was named Player of the Week, Hockey East announced Monday.
Ann-Frederique Guay tallied four points on the weekend in the pair of games against #14 Boston College, including her first D1 hat trick in Friday's 4-3 victory. Guay registered two power play goals and one game-winning-goal. She now leads Hockey East in power play goals with three total. Guay's fourth point of the weekend was an assist in Saturday's game as the team fell 4-2 for a weekend split.
Guay is on a four-game point streak scoring five goals and two assists for seven total points. She is currently in second place for goals scored this season among all of Hockey East with nine total. Guay is close behind linemate
Ida Kuoppala who has 10 goals. Guay also sits at second in Hockey East for total points with 11 total, again close behind Kuoppala who has 15.
The Quebec, Canada native skated in her 100th collegiate game on Saturday, her tenth in a Maine jersey. Guay also registered four blocked shots on the weekend.
The Black Bears return home this weekend as they host the University of Connecticut in conference play Nov. 10/11.
