Maine Clinches Two-Seed in America East Tournament with 0-0 Tie Against New Hampshire

Orono, ME - The University of Maine women's soccer team clinched the two-seed and the first round bye in the America East Tournament as they tied the Wildcats of New Hampshire in the Buffalo Wild Wings Border Battle on Friday night, 0-0. 

Maine held the Wildcats to no corners and limited them to only the six shots on goal, all of which were turned away by Graduate Goalkeeper, Kira Kutzinski. 

The Black Bears registered nine shots on goal in the draw. 

Kutzinski picked up six saves in the shutout performance. 

Maine will host the highest seeded winner of the quarterfinal games, which are set for Monday, Oct. 30. Maine hosts the semifinal on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 6 P.M.
