Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine men's cross country team placed second at the 2023 America East Championship meet with a final score of 74. The second place finish is Maine's best mark since 2016.

Head Coach Adam Ward was recognized as the 2023 America East Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year.

Luke Marsanskis paced Maine with a fourth place finish after crossing the line at 24:39.75. Marsanskis was followed closely by Evan Thornton-Sherman who came home fifth at 24:38.75. Alec Troxell rounded out Maine's three, top-12 finishers with a 12th place showing at 25:11.07.
