Men’s Track & Field Compete at Day Two of River Hawk Invite

Boston, MA - The University of Maine men's track & field team compete on day two of the River Hawk Invite Meet.

Jonathan Prell and Lewis Roebuck each led the way for the Black Bears earning third place overall in their respective events. Prell threw at 15.95m in the shot put and Roebuck ended with a mark of 17.16m in the weight throw.

Ben Cotton ended in sixth place in the long jump, leaping to a mark of 6.69m.

In the 60 dash, Cole Martin secured seventh for Maine coming in at a time of 6.98.

The Black Bears had more impressive showings in the shot put following Prell. Ryker Brown picked up twelfth with a mark of 14:63 and Nathan Holst-Grubbe was right behind him with a mark of 14.49 earning him thirteenth. 

Maine also had Gavin McGarity who had a strong performance in the weight throw placing tenth with a mark of 15.78m.

In the one mile run, Fisher Macklin came in at the time of 4:19.31 earning him thirteenth.
