Orono, ME - The Hockey East Association announced on Monday that University of Maine forward Mira Seregély was named one of the Conferences Co-Players of the Week for her performance against Boston University and Boston College.
Mira Seregély, a second year student from Budapest Hungary currently leads the Black Bears in points this season earning 19 points on 11 goals and eight assists.
Over the weekend Seregély earned herself four points on three goals and one assist and helped lead Maine to their Jan. 20 tie against Boston University and the Jan. 21 overtime victory over Boston College.
Against Boston University, Seregély scored Maine's first goal of the game as well as assisting on Maine's final goal. Against Boston College, Seregély had an impressive performance scoring both of Maine's goals propelling the Black Bears to the 2-1 overtime victory.
Seregély and the rest of the Black Bears will remain home for a matchup against UConn on Jan. 27 and will travel to the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn Maine to host Providence College.
