Alec Troxell Earns Second America East Performer of the Week Award

Orono, Maine - The America East Conference announced on Wednesday, Sept. 28 that UMaine Cross Country runner Alec Troxell was named America East Performer of the Week for his performance at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown Meet.

Troxell, a senior coming from Portland Maine competed against 20 other schools in this meet and placed 19th overall in the 8K race with a time of 24:34. This is Troxell's second time earning the award this season after previously winning the award after his performance during the Maribel Sanchez Souther Invitational Meet.

Troxell and the rest of the Black Bears will be competing on Oct. 8 at the New England Championships. This meet will be taking place in Franklin Park, M.A.
