Hanover, N.H. - The University of Maine women's and men's cross country teams competed at the Sanchez Souther Invitational against Dartmouth, MIT, the Brown University women , and the Vermont women.
For the women, they were led by Lydia Gilmore who placed 15th in the 6K race with a time of 23:23.19. Kayla Raymond (24:13.57) placed 33rd and Marlee Yoder (24:24.57) placed 37th.
For the men, they were led by a pair of top ten finishes. Alec Troxell placed second in the 8K race with a time of 25:12.87. Evan Thornton-Sherman finished with a time of 25:34.95 placing eighth. Fisher Macklin placed 25th in the meet with a time of 24:48.38.
The women took fifth in the meet with a total score of 137. The men took third with a total score of 64.
Both teams will be heading to Franklin, M.A., for the Coast-to-Coast Battle of Beantown meet on Friday, Sept 23.
