ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's and women's cross-country teams have each announced their upcoming 2022 schedules.
 
Both teams will officially open the 2022 season on Friday, Sept. 2 when they host Army. The Black Bears and Black Knights have kicked off the cross-country season against one another every year since 2015.
 
The programs will both travel to compete in the Dartmouth Sanchez Invitational on Friday, Sept. 10, before hosting the New Hampshire Wildcat on Sept. 16.
 
Maine will take part in the Battle of Beantown at Franklin Park on Saturday, Sept. 24 before making another trip to Boston to compete in the Boston College Invitational on Sept. 30.
 
The Black Bears return to Franklin Park for a third time to compete in the New England Championships on Saturday, Oct. 8 before taking part in the America East Championships, hosted at Jerusalem Mill Village in Kingville, Maryland on Saturday, Oct. 29.
