Farag, Wilson each post runner-up showings on day one of America East Outdoor Championships

Black Bears sixth after day one
Burlington, Vt. -- Yasmen Farag (pole vault) and Mackenzie Wilson (hammer) each placed second in their respective events to lead the Black Bears on day one of the America East Outdoor Track & Field Championships. After one day of competition, the Black Bears stand in sixth place with 21 points.
Farag matched her personal high, and Maine's second best mark all-time in the pole vault, after clearing 3.70m to take the silver medal in the event. Wilson improved her fourth place on Maine's all-time top-10 list with a throw of 57.65m in the hammer, good for second place in the event.
Julia Feid turned in a fourth place effort with a final mark of 39.90m in the javelin. Erica Magnuson added a ninth place finish in the hammer with a throw of 46.11m.
Darcy Cochran placed 13th in the 100m hurdles with a final time of 15.04m.
