Martinez, Wilson capture victories at Holy Cross

Black Bears place fourth with 57.5 points
Worcester, Mass. -- Ashley Martinez (high jump) and Mackenzie Wilson (hammer) each captured individual victories in their respective events as the Black Bears placed fourth overall with 57.5 points at Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon.
Martinez took gold in the high jump after clearing 1.70m, good to tie her personal high and fourth best mark in Maine school history. Wilson bested her previously ranked fourth best mark on Maine's top-10 list with a winning throw of 56.70 in the hammer.
Yasmen Farag was the runner-up in the pole vault at 3.65. Julia Feid took the bronze in the javelin, besting her fourth best mark in Maine school history with a throw of 42.17.
Paige Boudreau moved into eighth on Maine's all-time top-10 list in the shot put after placing fourth at 12.54. Jessica Kroushl added a fourth place finish with a time of 12.45 in the 100m dash.
The team of Halle James, Gabriella Panagakos, Emma White, and Tegan Morrison placed eighth in the 4x400m relay with a final time of 4:09.88.
