Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine women's basketball team has earned the America East's automatic qualifier into the upcoming WNIT and will begin WNIT postseason action in round one which is scheduled to take place March 16-18.

The Black Bears will learn the date, location, matchup, and start time of their WNIT first round game on Monday as the WNIT full bracket will be announced by 2 p.m. ET on March 14.

Maine has competed in the WNIT five times with its latest trip coming in 2016. The Black Bears are 1-6 all-time in the WNIT.
