ORONO, ME - The Hockey East association announced on Monday afternoon that University of Maine Forward, Mira Seregély, was named the Conferences Rookie of the Week for her performances against Providence.

Seregély, a First-Year out of Budapest, Hungary, scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory over the Friars of Providence College back on Friday, Jan. 29. She then followed up her late-game heroics with a 3-point game, which consisted of a goal and two assists, one of which was assisting on the Ida Kuoppala game-winning shot.

Seregély and the rest of the Black Bears will play host to Vermont on Friday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 5 as the Vermont Catamounts come to Alfond Arena. Saturday's contest will be the Black Bears Skating Strides contest.
