ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine men's ice hockey team will no longer play a home exhibition on October 3rd. Instead, the team will play a neutral site, closed exhibition at Philips Exeter Academy against Quinnipiac University on October 2nd.
The two New England squads have met 12 times during the regular season since 2012. The season tune-up, not open to the public, will take place on the campus of Philips Exeter Academy and will not count each team's records.
Fans who had already purchased single game tickets to the October 3rd exhibition will be able to exchange those tickets for seats to any future home game at Alfond Arena. In cases where exchanges are not desired, refunds will be available. You will be contacted by the Ticket Office in the coming days.Â
Season members will also be able to exchange these tickets for more tickets to any future home game. For Season Members who do not want additional tickets, refunds will be available. Refunds will be processed at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. With questions or to claim your additional tickets, please contact the Black Bear Ticket Office at (207) 581-BEAR or
