Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine men's and women's cross country teams have each announced their upcoming 2021 schedules.

Both teams will officially open the 2021 season on Friday, Sept. 3 when they host Army with the women's race going off at 1 p.m. and the men slated to begin at 1:45 p.m.

The programs will both travel to compete in the Dartmouth Sanchez Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. before traveling to New Hampshire for the University of New Hampshire Pre-Conference meet on Sept. 18 at noon.

Maine will take part in the Battle of Beantown at Franklin Park on Friday, Sept. 24 with the women starting at 3 p.m. followed by the men's race at 3:45.

The Black Bears return to Franklin Park to compete in the New England Championships on Saturday, Oct. 9 before taking part in the America East Championships, hosted at UNH on Friday, Oct. 29.
