Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine football team has climbed into the national poll rankings for the first time this season as it has earned a No. 25 mark in the latest Stats Perform FCS Top-25 Poll, announced on Monday, March 22.

Over the past two weeks, Maine has averaged 36.5 points per game and 396.5 yards of offense while picking up wins over UAlbany, 38-34, and on the road at Stony Brook, 35-19. Maine's defense limited Stony Brook to just six points in the second half and was able to hold the Seawolves to just 11-of-25 passing for 108 yards.

Following the bye week, Maine will host Villanova at Alfond Stadium. Kickoff for the CAA showdown is set for noon.
