WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Hockey East announced Monday that University of Maine senior goaltender Loryn Porter has been named the league's Defensive Player of the Week after she recorded 33 saves for the Black Bears during their 3-1 Hockey East Quarterfinal victory on Sunday at Vermont.

The North Bay, Ontario, native's 33 save performance was her ninth 30 save game and first career postseason win. This is Porter's third conference award of the 2020-21 season.
 
The Hockey East is set to announce the schedule on Tuesday, March 2nd.
