Worcester, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team got back to their winning ways on Saturday afternoon, defeating Holy Cross in an intense shootout showdown.

Olivia King got the regulation goal for Maine, the first of her career. Maddie Giordano and Morgan Trimper recorded assists.

Loryn Porter was once again outstanding in net, making 27 saves including 11 across the third period and overtime and stopping three of four Holy Cross attempts in the shootout.

Ida Kuoppala recorded a successful shootout attempt to keep Maine in the game, setting the stage for Elise Morphy to win it for the Black Bears.
