Box Score ORONO, ME - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team fell in overtime to the Eagles of Boston College, 4-3.
FIRST GOAL (1-0 BC): Alexie Guay got the scoring going at the 8:05 mark into the first as her second goal of the season got the Eagles going early. Kelly Browne (4) and Abby Newhook (7) picked up the assists.
SECOND GOAL (2-0 BC): Hannah Bilka would follow her teammate promptly with a goal of her own just 32 seconds later. Kelly Browne (5) picked up her second assist of the game.
THIRD GOAL (2-1 Maine):
Ali Beltz would get the Black Bears going in the scoring department with her third of the season. Her score came off of feeds by
Jen Costa (2) and
Maddie Giordano (3).
FOURTH GOAL (2-2 Maine):
Morgan Trimper would get the score back to even following her tip in score off of
Taylor Leech (3). Trimper's second goal of the season also came off of an assist by
Bailey Oakes (2).
FIFTH GOAL (3-2 BC): Caroline Goffredo scored her fourth of the season to break the tie for her squad early in the 3rd. Jenna Carpenter (2) and Keri Clougherty (3) picked up the assists.
SIXTH GOAL (3-3 Maine):
Ali Beltz scored her second goal of the game off of the deflected shot by Mira Seregely (3). Her score was her fourth of the season.
SEVENTH GOAL (4-3 BC): Boston College would strike for the 4th and final time just 27 seconds into overtime as Hannah Bilka scored her 6th of the season to give her squad the victory. Â Kelly Browne (6) and Alexie Guay (6) picked up the assists.
Loryn Porter picked up 33 saves in the losing effort.
Maine (6-11-1, 4-6-1) will host Boston College for the second and final time on Saturday, Dec. 4. Puck drop is scheduled for 2:00 P.M.
