Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine football team will travel to Montana State for a non-conference clash with the Bobcats on Sept. 7, 2024.
Montana State, a member of the Big Sky Conference, and Maine will meet for the first time in history in 2024. The Black Bears are 2-3 all-time against current Big Sky member institutions, with the latest meeting being the 2018 Final Four showdown at Eastern Washington. Maine's last win over a Big Sky program also came in 2018, a 23-18 quarterfinal victory at Weber State.
The contest marks the first announced game for the Black Bears in 2024. Maine previously has announced future games at New Mexico State (Sept. 3, 2022), at Boston College (Sept. 17, 2022), and at North Dakota State (Sept. 9, 2023).
