Select Black Bears Wrap-Up Indoor Season at Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. -- In the final indoor competition before the America East Championships, select Black Bear field athletes wrapped up the indoor regular season at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday.
Oliviah Damboise had the top finish of the day for Maine, placing 13th in the triple jump at 11.23m (36-10.25). Damboise also competed in the pole vault, finishing 23rd after clearing 3.06m (10-00.50).
Sarah Vanacore and Erica Magnuson each competed in the weight throw. Vanacore turned in a 17th place effort with a throw of 15.59m (51-01.75) while Magnuson placed 29th at 14.76m (48-05.25).
Mikal Sansoucie matched Damboise's effort in the pole vault, also placing 23rd at 3.06m.
The Black Bears return to action when they begin competition at the America East Championship on Friday, Feb. 21.
