Blair Captures 50 Freestyle Title on Day Two of America East Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. -- Emma Blair was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle to lead the Black Bears on day two of the America East Championships.
Blair set the tone in the women's 50-yard freestyle event, touching the wall first in the final with a winning time of 23.47.
Ines Khiyara snagged a seventh place showing in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:06.34 while PhilAnn Dixon placed fourth in the 3-meter dive with a score of 217.10.
The team of Blair, Kayla Loughman, Rita Chen and Sabrina Nuttall placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.59.
After two days of competition, the Black Bears sit fifth with 189 total points. Maine returns to the pool on Saturday, beginning with preliminary competition at 10 a.m.
