DURHAM, N.H. - The 2020-21 Maine women's ice hockey season rolls right along this weekend as the Black Bears take their 1-1 record across the border to take on the University of New Hampshire on Friday and Saturday afternoon.

MAINE GAME NOTES
- After a nearly three week break, Maine will look to build on a 1-1 weekend against Holy Cross on November 20th and 21st that opened their season.
- The Black Bears were victors on opening day, taking down Holy Cross by a 2-1 final behind Loryn Porter's 34 save day.
- Game two went to Holy Cross by a final of 3-2.
- Ida Kuoppala spearheaded the offensive effort with three goals in two games, with freshman Morgan Sadler recording the other goal and taking home Hockey East Rookie of the Week honors as a result.
NEW HAMPSHIRE NOTES
- Enter today at 1-3 with a sweep courtesy of Boston College to start the season, followed by a series split against Boston University last weekend.
- Tamara Thierus leads the offense with three goals so far, with four other Wildcats recording goals thus far.
- Ava Boutilier gets the lion's share of minutes in goal, starting three games so far with a 3.69 GAA.
SERIES NOTES
- New Hampshire has a 42-15-8 lifetime record against Maine, although the Black Bears won last year's season series, 2-0-1; that includes a 3-0 win at the Whittemore Center last October. UNH has won five of the last six meetings in Durham. And in the past four seasons, the home team has an 8-1-3 record.
