WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Hockey East announced Monday that University of Maine freshman forward Morgan Sadler has been named the league's Rookie of the Week after she recorded her first collegiate goal for the Black Bears at conference rival Holy Cross.
 
The Erin, Ontario, native tallied her goal during Friday night's 2-1 victory in Worcester. Sadler's goal came at the end of the first period and eventually became the game winning goal. This is Sadler's first conference award of the 2020-21 season.
 
Maine is scheduled to play two games against Hockey East rival, UConn, this weekend.
