Black Bears Second at UNH Meet

Durham, N.H. -- In a split weekend, with some of the team competing at Boston University, the Black Bears finished second in a meet held at the University of New Hampshire.
New Hampshire won the meet with 160 points , followed by the Black Bears at 85 who narrowly edged out Vermont (79). Dartmouth rounded out the four-team field with 20 points as just its throwers competed in the event.
The Black Bears won three of the 13 events, with three more podium appearances. Ethan Orach took top honors in the mile, finishing at 4:21.50. In the field, William Green won the pole vault with a throw of 4.35m (14'3.25"). Zachary Beaton captured first place in the long jump, leaping 6.38m (20'11.25").
James Olivier was the runner-up in the 800m event, crossing the line with a final time of 1:59.06 while Sebastian Osborne took second place in the shot put with a long toss of 15.10m (49'6.5"). Jacob Terry took second in the 3000m with a runner-up time of 8:42.90. Sam Bonnevie added a third place showing in the pole vault, throwing 4.20m (13'9.25").
