Men's Track and Field Has Strong Showing at UMaine Invitational

ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine men's track and field team had a good performance at the UMaine Invitational.

In the field events, Lewis Roebuck placed second in the Weight Throw (15.00m). Sam Bonnevie grabbed first place in the Pole Vault (4.42m). Jeremy Bissel placed second in the Long Jump (6.81m). Sebastian Osborne claimed second place in the Shot Put (14.87m). Kyle Jacques placed second in the Triple Jump (13.55m).

In the track events, David Perry placed second in the one-mile run with a time of 4:23.50. Branden Kuusela placed first in the 400-meter dash with a 51.89 time. Michael Croft took third in the 800-meter run (2:03.87). Samuel Mills took second place in the 3000-meter run (8:42.31).

The team of Chance Graves, Branden Kuusela, Michael O'Clair and Sam Bonnevie took second place in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:36.09.

Both teams will next be in action on Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15 as they head to Boston for the Valentine Invitational. It is scheduled to begin at 2:00 P.M Friday and resume at 10:00 A.M. Saturday.
