San Jose, Costa Rica -- University of Maine rising sophomore James Olivier, representing Team USA, placed sixth in the U20 Pan American 800m Championship on Saturday, July 21 with a time of 1:54.21.

The event completes Olivier's historic freshman season which saw him capture the 800m title at the USATF U20 championships with a time of 1:50.67. Olivier's top mark of the year in the 800m came at IC4A/ECAC indoor championships when he ran the event in 1:50.16.
