Orono, Maine -- University of Maine freshman James Olivier captured the USATF U20 800m championship on Sunday, June 23 at the USATF U20 National Championships, held in Miramar, Florida.

Olivier completed the event with a time of 1:50.67, good for first place among the eight finalists. His title and final time earned him his first berth on Team USA.

Olivier will await his fate for the upcoming Pan American Games, which begin in Costa Rica on July 26.
