Outdoor Track Members Shine at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, NC-- A group of Black Bears competed in the Duke University Invitational at Morris Williams Stadium on Friday and Saturday.

Cassidy Hill finished the 200 meter dash in 25.50, senior Lauren Magnuson finished the 200 meter in 25.86, with sophomore Anna Schumann finished the event at 26.08.

Magnuson finished the 400 meter in 14, crossing the finish line at 55.97, while Hill finished the event at 57.59. Schumann also competed in the triple jump, hitting the 11.34 meter mark.

Elijah White participated in a pair of events for the Black Bears, taking a sixth place finish with his 7.16 meter finish in the long jump for the men. Kelby Mace had another strong weekend in the javelin throw, taking sixth with a 58.63 meter throw.

Maine heads to Philadelphia for the Penn Relays, running from Thurs. April 25 to Sat. April 27. Black Bears fans can watch the event on NBCSN or get tickets here.
