Box Score ORONO, Maine - The Black Bears went to New Hampshire and came away with the victory in the Border Battle, 3-0.

The first period was a very close, competitive battle. With no teams being able to find the back of the net,
Loryn Porter for the Black Bears and Ava Boutilier for the Wildcats were both perfect for their teams.

The Black Bears offense came to life in the second period. Tereza Vanisova was able to go coast-to-coast and beat Boutilier over her blocker to give Maine the 1-0 lead.
Ida Press and
Ella MacLean picked up assists after winning the battle in the defensive end to set up the Vanisova play.

The third period started off in a hurry, as Vendula Pribylova stick handled her way past the defender while rushing up the boards, beating the goalie and giving Maine a 2-0 lead.
Liga Miljone and
Taylor Leech picked up assists on the play, after the both fought off their defenders to keep the play alive on the boards.

Maine added some insurance as
Taylor Leech nets her first goal of the season, an empty netter with 1:52 left in the third period.

Porter came up big in the victory for the Black Bears, complying 19 saves in route to the shut out, her third in four starts on the season.
