BOSTON, Mass— Celine Tedenby was named the Pro Ambitions Hockey East Rookie of the Week Monday after a five point weekend against Dartmouth.
 
The first year player from Ornskoldsvik, Sweden scored two goals and an assist in Friday's game before dishing out a goal and an assist on Saturday. In all three goals, Tedenby was circling in the slot and captured a pass from the corner or boards and finished off with her smooth wrist shot.
 
She is now second in team scoring with 14 points (eight goals, six assists) in 13 games, after missing a pair of contests to participate in the Four Nations Tournament for Sweden.
 
The Black Bears have had three players earn Hockey East weekly honors this season. Tereza Vanisova was named Player of the Week on Oct. 8, and Vendula Pribylova earned Player of the Week honors on Oct. 15. The last Maine player to be named Rookie of the Week was Michelle Weis on Nov. 13, 2017.
 
Maine closes out the 2018 season with a Hockey East weekend series at the University of Vermont on Friday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 1. at 1 p.m. The last game of the calendar year will be on Dec. 6, when Maine travels to Harvard for another out of conference tilt.
