BOSTON, Mass— Vendula Pribylova was named Hockey East Player of the Week Monday after a five point game against Sacred Heart.

The junior from Olomuc, Czech Republic scored her first goal Saturday from a strong shot at center. She scored her second goal of the night on the power play in the last minute of the second period, cutting through two defenders for another hard shot in the slot.

Pribylova scored six goals and 16 points last season, and now has 24 points in her collegiate career.

Maine set a program record for shots on goal with 52 on Friday, and set a program record for most players with points in a game with 16 players contributing to the win. The Black Bears set the second-highest record Saturday with 14 scorers.

The Black Bears earned their second straight Hockey East Player of the Week after Tereza Vanisova earned the honor last week after her four point weekend at Quinnipiac.

Maine starts Hockey East play on Friday at Northeastern at 2 p.m. and can been seen across New England on NESN. The second Hockey East game is at Boston University, with puck drop at 4 p.m.
