BOSTON – Paced by a seventh place overall finish by
Aaron Willingham, the Maine Black Bears men's cross country team finished 10th of 27 teams at the New England Championships held at Franklin Park on Saturday.

Willingham completed the 8k with a time of 25:30.4, which to averages to a 5:07.8 mile. The junior finished seventh among the 178 total runners.

Jacob Terry was next to cross the finish line for the Black Bears, placing 28
th with a time of 25:57.6. Simon Pohida finished with a time of 26:34.1 for 64
th place, while
Daniel Lesko placed 80
th with a time of 26:52.1.

Logan Moses cracked the top-100 with a time of 27:06.3, and
John Hassett rounded out the Black Bear runners with a time of 27:46.8

Stonehill won the event with a score of 119, while MIT not far behind with 124 points. UMass, Central Connecticut, and Dartmouth round out the top five finishers on the men's side.

The Black Bears will have a week off next weekend, before heading back to Boston to compete at the America East Championships on October 28 at St. Albans, Vermont. Â
