ST. ALBANS, Vt. – Led by an all-conference performance by
Aaron Willingham, the Maine Black Bears men's cross country team placed fifth at the America East Championships at Hard'ack Recreation Area on Saturday afternoon. Maine totaled 148 points on the day.

Willingham, Maine's top-finisher all season, finished the 8k course hosted by Vermont in a time of 24:52.11. He finished fifth place overall out of 81 runners. The junior earned first-team all-conference honors with his performance.

Senior
Logan Moses crossed the finish line 11 seconds later for the Black Bears for 18
th place with a time of 25:45.67.
Daniel Lesko followed with a time of 26:13.63 for 39
th, while
Simon Powhida finished soon after with a time of 26:22.10 for 41
st.

Jacob Terry (27:07.25),
Josh Horne (27:07.29), and Zach Lepage (29:18.18) also competed on the day.

Stony Brook won the championship meet with 40 points, followed by second-place UMass Lowell with 43 points, while UAlbany, and Vermont placed third and fourth, respectively. UNH took sixth, with Binghamton, UMBC and Hartford.
