
Men's Outdoor Track and Field Place Third at UNH Outdoor Opener

DURHAM, N.H. -- Maine Men's Outdoor Track and Field placed third at the UNH outdoor opener Saturday afternoon. The Black Bears had a total of 157 points.
Maine had six first place finishers on the day, they included:
Jesse Orach in the 5000 meters (15:06.72), Levi Frye in the 3000 meter steeplechase (9:49.30), Tyler Martin in the high jump (2.02m/6-07.50), Steven Longfellow in the triple jump (12.90m/42-04.00), Shane Corbett in the discus (44.66m/146-06) and Kelby Mace in the javelin (53.94m/177-00).
Other notable finishers on the day were:
Running Events: Aaron Willingham placed second in the 1500 meters (4:06.39), Justin Tracy placed second (15:19.87) and Joshua Horne finished third (15:23.90) in the 5000 meter run, Simon Powhida placed second in the 300 meter steeplechase (9:58.21), the 4x100 meter relay team consisting of; Ryan Jamison, Tyler Martin, Dylan Smith and Isaac Yeboah placed third (43.77) and the 4x400 meter relay team consisting of; Tucker Corbett, Tyler Martin, Elijah and Isaac Yeboah finished second (3:26.23).
Field Events: Alecsander Wortman placed third in the pole vault (4.11m/13-05.75), Jeremy Frantz placed third in the shot put (14.37m/47-01.75).
Maine's next meet is April 16 at the Wildcat Invitational.
