
Men's Indoor Track and Field Finishes Second at the Alumni Meet Against UNH

ORONO, Maine -- Men's Indoor Track and Field team finishes second at the Alumni meet against UNH at the New Balance Field House Saturday.
The Black Bears had six first place finishers on the day and they included: Assad Hicks in the high jump (2.04 meters/6-08.25) that jump was fourth best in Maine all-time track and field history, Steven Longfellow in the triple jump (12.78 meters/41-11.25), Michael Lucas in the 400 meters (50.58 seconds), Jake Leithiser in the 800 meters (1:53.72), Levi Frye in the 3000 meters (8:35.44), The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of Michael Lucas, Jake Leithiser, Tucker Corbett and Tyler Martin (3:21.20).
Other notable finishers on the day were: Field Events: Garret Johnson placed second in the pole vault (4.10m/13.05.25), Tyler Martin finished second in the high jump (1.99m/6-06.25), Adam Lufkin placed second (14.07m/46-2.00) and Thomas Murray third (13.96m/45-09.75) in the shot put.
Running Events: Jesse Orach placed second in the one mile run (4:19.84), Allahjustus Mathelier finished second (8.72) and Andrew Toothaker placed third (8.76) in the 60 meter hurdles, Ryan Jamison finished second (7.33) in the 60 meter dash, Darryl Wilkinson placed third in the 600 meters (1:25.50), Ryan Jamison finished second in the 200 meter dash (23.30), Justin Tracy finished second (8:36.52) and Joshua Horne third (8:38.20) in the 3000 meter run.
The Black Bears return to action next weekend at the America East Indoor Track and Field Championships Feb. 19 and 20.
