STATEN ISLAND, New York - Maine won 2 events on the afternoon and had five top-5 finishes and a new record in Women's Pole vaulting after day 1 of action at the America East Track and Field Championships.
Senior Jaclyn Masters broke the America East record for Women's Pole Vaulting, which was previously 3.80m set in 2009, with a 3.90m vault in today's action. Here are the rest of today's top finishers for Maine
Women's
Pole Vault: Jaclyn Masters - 3.90m (1st place, New Conference Record)
Indoor Pentathlon: Grace MacLean - 3431 (2nd place)
Men's
5000 Meter Run: Jesse Orach - 14:44.21 (5th place)
60 Meter Dash Heptathlon: Garrett Johnson - 7.26 (3rd place)
At the end of day 1, the Women's team sits in 5th place with 20 points and the Men's team sits in 7th place with 6 points.
The meet concludes Saturday, Feb 20.
