Men's Indoor Track and Field Competes at UNH Invitational and the Terrier Classic on Saturday

Durham, N.H. and Boston, Mass. -- The University of Maine Indoor Track and Field Men's team competed at the UNH Collegiate Invitational and the Terrier Classic.
At the Terrier Classic, Jake Leithiser placed 18th in the 400 meter dash out of 152 participants with a time of 48.53.
Assad Hicks tied for second place in the high jump with a mark of 2.00 meters / 6 feet and 6.75 inches. Tyler Martin tied for 11th place in the high jump by completing a mark of 1.90 metes / 6 feet and 2.75 inches.
Julian Hubbard placed 50th in the long jump with a mark of 6.11 meters / 20 feet and 0.50 inches. Hubbard also placed 19th in the triple jump by completing a distance of 13.63 meters / 44 feet and 8.75 inches.
At the UNH Collegiate Invitational, the Men's team placed second with 97 points.
The Black Bears had a total of two first place finishers on the day, they included: Jacob Johns in the one mile run (4:13.51) and Jeremy Frantz in the shot put with a distance of 14.43 meters / 47 feet and 4.25 inches.
Notable running event finishers: Ryan Jamison placed third in the 55 meter dash (6.85) and placed third in the 200 meter dash (23.77). Michael Lucas placed second in the 400 meter dash (52.25), Justin Tracy placed second (8:46.94) and Lucas Bourget placed third in the 3000 meters (8:50.08). The 4x800 meter relay team placed second consisting of: Tucker Corbett, Elijah Fossas, Jacob Johns and Simon Powhida (8:11.70).
Notable field event finishers: Thomas Murray placed second in the weighted throw (14.56m/47' 9.25").
Notable jumping event finishers: Owen Falvey placed third in the high jump (1.85m/6' 0.75"), Dylan Smith placed third in the long jump (6.10m/20' 00.25") and Steven Longfellow placed second in the triple jump (12.83m/42' 1.25").
The Black Bears return to action Feb. 6 as they host Holy Cross for their first home indoor meet of the year. Meet starts at 11:00 a.m.
