Women's Soccer Shutout by Northeastern 3-0

Orono, Maine-- The University of Maine Women's Soccer Team was shutout 3-0 by the Northeastern Huskies. The Black Bears have a record of 3-2, while Northeastern improves to 5-1 on the season.
The Huskies scored their first goal 27 minutes into the game, with a shot that went off the post and into the net. The score at halftime was 1-0 in favor of Northeastern.
Three minutes into the second half, the Huskies scored again, this time off a cross shot from Hannah Lopicculo, which was then put into the open net by Kaya Cappuzzo. The final goal would come from the Huskies on a steal from Claudia Dube-Trempe.
Maine had a total of four shots, with one shot on goal in the second half. Dube-Trempe made two saves in the game.
The Black Bears will look to get back on track and improve their record to 4-2 when they play at Marist on September 11 at 7pm.
