Maine Soccer Dealt First Loss of the Season by Providence

Orono, Maine-- The University of Maine Women's Soccer Team suffered its first loss of the season, coming against the Providence Friars 2-1. Maine is now 3-1 on the season, while Providence improves to 4-1.
With a scoreless first half of play, it was clear that this would be a low scoring game. The Friars would strike first, with Rachel Ugolik scoring her first goal of the season, ending Claudia Dube-Trempe's shutout streak.
Ashley Robinson responded late in the game with an unassisted goal for the Black Bears, but the Friars fought back to score the game winning goal with less than a minute to play.
Claudia Dube-Trempe made a total of four saves during the game, and the goal from Robinson is her first goal of the season.
Maine will look to improve their record to 4-1 when they take on Northeastern Sunday, September 6 at 1pm.
