Women's Soccer Earns a Tie in a 2OT Conference Game Against Hartford

Orono, Maine-- The University of Maine Women's Soccer Team played its first conference game against Hartford, resulting in a 1-1 tie in 2 overtimes.
Hartford outshot Maine 17 to 14, with Black Bear goalie Claudia Dube-Trempe making a total of three saves in 110 minutes of play, and Hartford goalie Jessica Jurg making a total of four saves.
There ws no scoring in the first half of play, and in the second half Hartford would strike first. Tori Tripp was able to get the ball past Dube-Trempe with an assist from teammate Alliyah Ingram. The Black Bears answered thirteen minutes later with an unassisted goal for Charlene Achille. Achille knotted her fourth goal of the season, for a total of nine points.
Maine will return to play Dartmouth at a Neutral Site in Saco, Maine on Tuesday September 29 at 7pm. They are 5-3-1 on the season and 0-0-1 in conference play.
