Women's Swimming Announce Three Signings

ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine swimming head coach Susan Lizzotte has announced that the women's swimming team has received three National Letters of Intent to the 2013 recruiting class.
"The three girls who have signed their NLIs have started a great class," commented Lizzotte. "Each of these girls will have an immediate impact and will add depth to our team. I am excited to continue to recruit more and add to the depth of this class."
Katerina Mosquera-Cardi comes to Maine from Pointe-Claire, Quebec after attending John Rennie high school and Cegep John Abbott College. Mosquera-Cardi swims sprints, butterfly, backstrong and IM. "I am excited about Kat's versatility," said Lizzotte. "She will add to our depth in many events and have immediate impact in many events."
Tessa Lindsley joins the squad from Bath, Maine and currently attends Cheverus high school. Lindsley swam club for the Long Reach Swim Club in Bath and will compete in sprints and backstroke. "Tessa will be a great addition to our team in the spring and backstroke events," commented Lizzotte. "We are very excited for her to join us."
Kailey Dowd, from Mendon, Mass., will join the Black Bears after attending Nipmuc Regional high school. Dowd swims distance events and also competes with the Crimson Aquatics club team. "Kailey will have an immediate impact on improving our distance events," said Lizzote.
The eligibility of all student-athlete is contingent upon admission to the University of Maine and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
