
Football Hosts #10 James Madison on Saturday

ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine football team hosts the #10 James Madison Dukes on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Alfond Stadium. Last season, Maine defeated the Dukes in overtime on Chris Treister's 'helicopter' play that was a finalist for the college football play of the year.

The University of Maine football team (3-5, 2-3) hosts the James Madison Dukes (6-2, 4-1) in a CAA showdown.
Maine is coming off a 24-10 at William and Mary.
WR Damarr Aultman made a pair of TD catches while DBs Jamal Clay and Darlos James each had key interceptions.
RB Rickey Stevens had 125 total yards and QB Marcus Wasilewski threw for 191 yards and three TDs.
James Madison is coming off a 28-21 win over Georgia State.
The Dukes were led by Dae'Quan Scott who rushed for 130 yards and a score while also catching five passes for 37 yards and a score; Jakarie Jackson led the Duke defense with 12 tackles including 2.0 tackles-for-loss.
The teams played last season in Harrisonburg in a classic game that saw Maine win 25-24 in overtime on Chris Treister's 'helicopter' into the end zone for a two-point conversion that won the game for the Black Bears.
TE Justin Perillo made nine catches for 101 yards and a score in overtime while WR Maurice McDonald also had nine catches for 67 yards and a score; Troy Russell made nine tackles in the game.
Maine's LB Donte Dennis currently has 295 career tackles and is on pace to be the first player to lead Maine in tackles for three seasons since NFL starter Stephen Cooper did it from 2000-02.
