Logan Desmond

Logan Desmond ('14), who has worked at the University of Maine since 2017, was promoted to his current role in July 2023.  In this position, Desmond directly oversees the ticket office, events management, facilities scheduling and rentals, and the Van Wagner multimedia rights team.  Desmond serves as the sport administrator for the softball, women's soccer, and women's ice hockey programs.  On campus Desmond is a liaison to Auxiliary Enterprises and the Sport Management academic program and serves on the Commencement Committee.

Among his top achievements, Desmond spearheaded the University's implementation of Paciolan, a premiere ticketing solution for collegiate athletics.  The transition provided a vastly improved customer experience while also giving the University increased flexibility and sales capabilities.  Under his leadership, the ticket office has surpassed many sales goals including record sales in Football and Men's Hockey premium seating.

Desmond, a 2021 recipient of the Presidential Black Bear Award for Extraordinary Impact, played a key role in UMaine's return to campus post-Covid by helping to adapt the Paciolan ticketing software to be used for Covid testing tickets.

Through each of his various roles, Desmond has been able to bring positive impacts to the athletic department including a focus on customer service, increased ticket revenue, parking and other gameday related improvements, and always putting the student-athlete experience first.

Desmond resides in Brewer with his wife, Jenny, and daughtesr, Sophie and Vivienne.
