Kyle Emerson, who has served on staff at the University of Maine since 2020, was named the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in December of 2021. In his current role, Emerson runs the behind-the-scenes duties and communications tasks for Women's Soccer, Field Hockey, Baseball and Men's Basketball.
During his time at the University of Maine, Emerson was a part of the 2023 America East Championship winning baseball program, who won their first Conference Title and first NCAA Tournament berth since 2011, Men's Basketball's winningest season since 2011, Field Hockey's first ever perfect America East regular season in 2022 and Soccer's all-time longest undefeated streak to begin a season in 2023.
Emerson began his career with the Black Bears as the Communications Assistant during his senior year of college at the University of Maine in 2020. He served as the primary contact for anything external with regards to Women's Ice Hockey, Track and Field, Cross Country and Swim and Dive.
Emerson is a 2020 graduate of the University of Maine, where he earned a degree in Journalism with a minor in English.
