Joe Light began his time on staff at UMaine in 2013 as a development officer.
Light is currently an associate director at the UMaine Foundation where he assists in connecting donors with the university in an effort to help drive support to the athletics programs and all other corners of the university.
As an alum of the University of Maine, Light is especially passionate about helping students-athletes succeed and raising the profile of the University of Maine.
Light earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 2004 and an MBA in 2021. He is a third-generation Black Bear and lives in Bangor with his wife Aimee and their three children. Light volunteers as a youth soccer coach in the Bangor area.
