Amerine joins the Black Bears as an assistant coach for the 2026 season after having spent some time during the 2025 season assisting the program.

Before joining UMaine, he coached in the Beach Collegiate Baseball League with the Waccamaw Waves in 2025, serving as the first base coach and hitting coordinator. While coaching the Waves, they produced a league-leading 102 stolen bases, a 13-5 record, and he was selected as an assistant coach for the 2024 BCBL All-Star Game.

From 2022–2025, he also coached in American Legion Baseball, helping lead Spring City American Legion to a 72–29 overall record while focusing on pitching and catching development. During this time, he helped lead the team to 4 regional appearances.

Amerine is a 2024 graduate of Penn State University Berks, where he earned his B.S. in Security and Risk Analysis.

On the Black Bears staff, he will be in charge of running on their technology (Trackman, Synergy, etc...) and serving as their video coordinator.
