Nick Fonzi enters his fourth season as Director of Hockey Operations and his seventh overall season with the University of Maine men's ice hockey program after spending three years as a student assistant.

A familiar face within the program, Fonzi served as a student assistant from 2020-23, including two seasons as the team's video coordinator while completing his undergraduate degree.

In his current role, Fonzi oversees the logistics that keep the Black Bears operating smoothly, coordinating team travel, scheduling and day-to-day operations while also managing all video activities and supervising the program's student managers.

A 2023 graduate of the University of Maine, Fonzi earned Magna Cum Laude honors with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Leadership. Originally from Ipswich, Massachusetts, Fonzi currently resides in Old Town, Maine.
