Biography
JUNIOR (2020-21): Skated in 11 of the Black Bears’ 16 games… Finished the season with three goals and six assists… Fired 18 shots while blocking six opposing shots… Recorded a point in six straight games starting with a two point performance (1 G, 1 A) at UNH (12/12)... Tallied two points in three different games (12/12, 01/03, 01/08)... Found the back of the net for the final time during the 2020-21 season at Providence (01/15)... Two of his three goals came on the power play.
SOPHOMORE (2019-20): Appeared in 33 of 34 games for Maine… Found the back of the net nine times, while assisted on nine others during his sophomore campaign… Scored two goals at Quinnipiac (10/19) and two at Vermont (10/25) for a season and career high… Dishes out two assists against Merrimack (1/31) and two against Northeastern (2/07) for another career and season high for the forward.
FRESHMAN (2018-2019): Skated in 33 of the 36 games for the Black Bears ... Recorded six goals and eight assists on the season ... Had three points in his first Collegiate series, recording an assist in his first game and a goal plus an assist in his second game (10/12-10/13) ... Scored against Minnesota Duluth (10/20) and against UConn (10/27) for a goal in his first three series ... Registered a goal against Boston College (1/16) ... Scored against UMass (1/25) ... Had a multi-assist (2) game against Boston University (3/9) ... Scored against Northeastern in the Hockey East Quarterfinals (3/16).
BEFORE MAINE: Represented Denmark at the 2018 World Juniors Championships, comes to UMaine after playing for the Fargo Force of the United States Hockey League (USHL) in 2017-18. The forward from Charlottenlund, Denmark notched 26 goals for the Clark Cup Champion Force last season, which was tied for sixth-best in the USHL. He added 17 assists for a total of 43 points in 40 games, earning USHL Second All-Star Team honors. Schmidt-Svejstrup split time between the for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL and the Coulee Region Chill of the NAHL in 2016-17.
