Biography
JUNIOR (2019-20): Laced up for all 34 games… Finished his third season in Maine colors with 10 total points (two goals and eight assists) and 26 blocked shots… record two assists at Northeastern (11/23)... Scored his first goal of the season in the Black Bears’ first game after the winter break against AIC (12/29)... Found the back of the net against #4 Boston College (1/25)... Tallied his final point of the season with an assist at #17 Providence (2/29).
SOPHOMORE (2018-2019): Skated in six games for the Black Bears after returning from an injury ... Recorded eight shots on goal and blocked a shot.
FRESHMAN (2017-18): Suiting up in 26 games for UMaine… finished the year with eight total points on three goals and five assists… set a season high with three points against Miami (Ohio) (10/20)... registered two points at Providence (3/09) with a goal and an assist… blocked 11 shots, while tallying two blocked shots twice… named to Hockey East All-Academic team… garnered AHCA All-American Scholar Honors.
BEFORE MAINE: Played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL during the 2016-17 season, netting 26 points on four goals and 22 assists in 61 total games...saw time with the U19 Finland National Team...won the U16 and U18 Finland Championship with his junior team.
PERSONAL: A finance major... Born June 17, 1997...son of Kaisa and Reijo Tiuraniemi...has two siblings... enjoys playing tennis, badminton, soccer, and squash in his free time.
