Wool named Female Performer of the Week
ORONO, Maine -- Evelyn Wool of the University of Maine women's cross country program was tabbed the America East Female Performer of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Wool helped the Black Bears to a first place team finish at the Maine State Meet on Sept. 19 with a total of 19 points. Wool was the individual winner of the event with a time of 21:17.3, giving Maine back-to-back first place finishes to start the season after Katelyn Macnamara's first place finish in the season opening meet against Army earlier in the month.
This is Wool's first America East Cross Country award of her career.
Wool and the Black Bears are back in action Oct. 2 as they compete in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
